Not so enamored with the sedation they gave me. Obviously I needed it, but it's taken over two days to get out of my system and I have been fairly useless till now.
It's a nice day, here. 18C right now. That's pretty hot considering what it was a few days ago. I had hoped to get out to do some shopping and run some errands--maybe tomorrow. Nothing urgent, still I'd like to get it over with.
I'm finishing up season three on Six Feet Under today. I've got batter to mix and supper to fix and I need to decide what I'm wearing to church on Sabbath. I mean I think I know, but we'll see.
Has anyone done the Dressing Your Truth thingie? I'd really love to do it, but I'm having such a hard time finding my type. I'm drawn to type one colors, but they say I'm a type two. I think type two was imposed on me as a child. I think I'm naturally more gregarious than I was allowed to be. I have no trouble speaking to strangers, I just don't want to all the time. That's why I carry a book! LOL! Anyway, I'd love to have a buddy to do it with. Oh, and if you're interested, you can get the book for Kindle free right now. I did. I love free stuff!
Okay, I'm going to go do a little house work then reward myself with another episode of SFU.
Toodles!

What are you about to bake with the batter? Unless I'm confused, because I thought the cookies were last weekend. A different project?

Ah, hadn't realized I'd talked about it before. Yeah, same old cookies. I will make them, I will make them, I will make them. ;-)

I'm always thinking about my wardrobe. It tends to be either black or jeans and a t-shirt! I doubt it's very much to my age...I wonder if I should update it.

"Off" is a good term for it, E!
Okay, back to baking. The first batch of cookies...well, let's just say, working with a new oven is a revelation. ;-)

LOL! Had a similar experience last winter when I realized that one of my ovens was not heating up nor properly! Switched to the oven I never use because it's right next to the fridge and omgosh! THAT'S how things are supposed to cook!
I guess they have elements that burn out. I've never lived in a place long enough to learn that.
Good luck with your cookie goals!

I don't know what Dressing Your Truth is, honestly! Is it like one of those "this would look best for your body" type things? Or is it that your clothing speaks to your personality type? I honestly often find myself in three colors: black, red, and/or grey. It's rare for me to wear anything else. I like to stand out (hence the red), but I like the drama of black. And grey is a good in-between that can work with either color, depending on if it's a cool or warm grey. I look better in warmer tones, though I have a penchant for wearing bright red dresses!
I seriously hope you feel better. <3

It's the ME/CFS it messes with my medications all the time. Nothing is the way it's supposed to be because of it. But I will mention it to my doc when I see her. Thanks. ;-)
Do you have the book? You can d/l it free from Amazon for kindle--I hope the deal is still there. I'd love a DYT buddy! :-) <3 <3 <3

I used to wear a lot of black. I still have a lot in my wardrobe (such as it is) it's a great tool, for sure. And I love red. It makes my eyes look really blue! Which is kind of cool as my eyes are more teal than blue these days. Grey is a great colour. I have a bit of grey in the mix, too. Black can be harsh, especially on me in my mid-sixties, so grey is softer and yet still a sombre choice.
I am feeling better. How are you doing? I didn't realize you had CFDS and FM, too. Something else we have in common. ((Hugs))

But I am glad you are feeling better. And I'm doing well - healing from the gallbladder surgery (only a little lingering pain and some bruising, which isn't abnormal, and I see my surgeon Tuesday for my follow-up), and my thyroid numbers have gone from 248 (coma state) to 9! Normal is 1, but 9 instead of 248? My new endocrinologist and oncologist (she does both) is amazing! I'm so thrilled to have regained some of the energy my cancer stripped away!
I really am a fan of wearing black, but usually that is when I do my makeup - I think it can balance the harshness of it. But it's still a go-to. Same with red: I tend not to wear red without makeup, because my face is often a bit red from Lupus flares or their lovely side effect of "butterfly rashes," and red shirts with a red face? Nah, not for me. ;) But if red makes your eyes look blue or teal, that is awesome! I've always envied naturally blue eyes. My entire family, short of my terrible birth father, has blue eyes (including my husband and son)! I have hazel eyes that are more green, so red doesn't enhance them the same way. :) Grey is an absolute go-to for me, makeup or not - most of my sweatshirts for running errands are grey. It's such a great color to tone down the harshness of black, or just to wear alone! It's serious, but with the right accessories, there are ways to make it fun (I've worn grey tank tops with black fake-leather pants, and that's been a hit, so I think it's all in how you want to pair it)!
I ramble, lol. Hope you are having a great day. *hugs*

I haven'e even heard of Dressing Your Truth, but I looked it up after I read your post. Looks fun! I can never tell how I like to dress. Do I do ALL the colors? Or just brown? I love muted and earthy things and then other times I want to look like you threw me in a pot of kid paints!
Take, for instance, something I wore last week XD https://www.instagram.com/p/BxYEIUHlVJl/
So what's type one and type two? The differences? I say go with whatever one you feel drawn to! Some advice or direction is great, but you shouldn't feel like you can't do something just cause it wasn't 'the right one'. I think that the best way to look good in anything is to be confident and work it.
