Another Day, Another (mini) Drama

So, they're doing something weird outside on the property. I don't know what, I don't ask. They seem to be messing with the drainage systems with each building and for the past two days, it's been here at my building. They have this huge orange hose that they insert in a hole in the ground and then I guess maybe drain the contents either into or out of, the hole. In any case, I noticed this afternoon that they had tied off the end of the pipe that wasn't in the hole so that it was leaning on my tarp. Now that's just wrong. So, I called management and asked if they would please ask them to move it out of my yard. A few minutes later I saw the people who were doing all this walking near my yard. I hollered. "Excuse me? Could you move that pipe-thing out of my yard, please?" And they did. Then I called management again to tell them I'd already handled it. Management wasn't too pleased. (Rolls eyes!) I was only trying to help...myself. Ah well, you can't win 'em all. Although, technically, I did. :-)
