Do you know, I never had Brussels sprouts until I met my husband's family? One of his sisters used to saute them, and then dress them in a walnut vinaigrette that was fabulous.
My Dad was one of those people who believed that any time another person disliked a food, it was a personal failing on their part. Whereas, if he didn't like it... that food was actually awful, and it never showed up on the table.
